Class Description:


Learn the fundamentals of quilting while creating a table runner from start to finish. 

This 5 week class will cover the fundamentals - fabric preparation, cutting, sewing, pressing and other quilt making techniques.  You will learn how to make 6 basic blocks found in many quilting designs.  You will assemble these blocks into a quilt top, learn how to machine quilt with your walking foot and finally you will bind your runner.

This is a great class for new quilters as well as those who have done some quilting but haven’t taken a class.

Class Description:

    Many modern quilters believe they can quilt any top they make with their walking foot.  And I think they’re right!  We'll be using "Walk", the book by Jacquie Gering, to begin your journey quilting unique, beautiful designs. 

Class Description:

This is our beginning bag making class.  You will learn how to use a variety of fabrics in one project.  Install a recessed zipper, make multiple pockets and functional handles.  This is the perfect pattern to get you hooked on making bags!

Class Description:

I put Linda to work using our favorite leggings pattern.  We have three kinds of knits in the store that work great for this pattern - regular cotton/spandex, cotton spandex brushed on the wrong side (like a flannel next to your skin), and ponte.  Linda has used all of these and knows the secrets to getting a great fit with all three.

Class Description:

Make this great swing  jacket by Indigo Junction.  This jacket is a fairly simple beginner friendly pattern.  There is no lining but the collar is faced.  It is an easy jacket to fit.  The amount of extra room because of the swing is slight - you won't have tons of fabric making you look larger. 

This jacket works with any heavier woven fabric.


Class Description:

This project is for the intermediate bag maker. This cute bag is perfect for projects, knitting, cosmetics or lunch.  The inside is fully lined with pockets.  It has a hard base and easy to grasp zipper.  This more challenging project is perfect to take you to the next level of bag making.

We recently completed the Shattered quilt using ombre fabrics.  It leads to a softer, yet more dramatic image.  Rose will teach this class focusing on both using the thangles paper piecing sheets for making half-square triangles and on how to use an ombre fabric to make this quilt.Walk away with a clear understanding of how to make this quilt.

We've been getting a lot of request for this class.  Bring supplies for either the Gathering or any Laura Heine wall hanging.  Remember, the Gathering pattern can easily be be converted to a smaller table runner. 


Prior to class, Faye will guide you through selecting the products you need for whichever project you choose.  With the large assortment of products on the market it can be confusing.


Practice the best fusing techniques with great products.  Learn how to select fabrics, position elements and have fun using fusible appliqué.

Class Description:

Take hand embroidery to the next level.  Learn how to create embroidery as embellishment.  Create fused appliqué or choose your favorite technique.  Use some of the more modern stitches and big stitch embroidery techniques to create a more artful and personal statement.  This year's theme is 'Cats and Dogs'.  Every other month two new patterns will be introduced.  We will add stitches  throughout the class sessions, starting with basic stitches and progressing to more difficult stitches as the year progresses.
